Art of the Song: Creativity Radio is a 1-hour weekly radio show airing on more than 100 radio stations across the U.S. and Canada.
For the last twelve years, hosts John Dillon and Vivian Nesbitt have been reaching out to hundreds of thousands of listeners in cities, small towns and rural communities throughout the country. Through music and discussion about songwriting and the creative process, they have subtly and repeatedly delivered the message that we are all creative and that it is not only possible but imperative that each and all of us express our creative voices.
Past WoodyFest interviewees have included K.C. Clifford, Lance Canales, Ronny Cox, David Amram, Sam Baker, John Fullbright, Butch Hancock, Vance Gilbert, Ellis Paul, Rebecca Loebe, Monica Taylor, Dan Navarro, Betty Soo and Seth Glier. These and other interviews are archived on the show’s website.
2018 will be John and Viv’s 8th annual visit to WoodyFest! Please join them for two Art of the Song WoodyFest tapings when they talk to artists about their creative process. Both will perform a song or two and the sessions typically end with an audience Q&A. Both sessions will take place at the Methodist Church at 202 N. 3rd Street. Please note: there will be no admittance once taping has begun.
