As a teenager, apprenticing under luthier Don Musser, Ana Egge built her own guitar and moved to Austin, Texas, where she recorded her first album River Under the Road (1997) with the legendary western swing band Asleep At The Wheel. This led to The Austin Music Awards naming her “Best Singer/Songwriter” and “Best Folk Artist” of 1998/1999.
Since then she has toured the world and worked with producers Martin Terefe, Jason Mercer, Joel Plaskett, Steve Earle & Stewart Lerman and recorded with artists such as Billy Strings, Anais Mitchell and Iris DeMent.
Ana’s unifying single, “We Are One” has gathered over seven million spins on Spotify. She believes in the power of music to unite people across space, time and all imaged or real divides. Her latest album Between Us was released Sept. 17, 2021 on StorySound Records.
