Dan Navarro has wound his way through a rich and varied career for over 30 years, as a songwriter for Pat Benatar (the Grammy-nominated “We Belong”), The Bangles, Dave Edmunds, The Temptations, Dionne Warwick and Austin legend Rusty Weir; as an artist with over a dozen albums, widespread airplay and a million road miles; as a singer/voice-actor in major films and series, hit video games, commercials and albums by major artists.
For over 20 years, Dan partnered with Eric Lowen in Lowen & Navarro on record and on the road. ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) forced Eric’s retirement in 2009, and Dan carried on solo. His debut album “Shed My Skin” released in 2018, produced by longtime cohort Steve Postell with guest bows from Janiva Magness, Wendy Waldman, Grace Pettis, Danny Kortchmar, Leland Sklar and Brother Sun. Dan’s new songs probe life at its most resonant, confronting change and pressing on.
Dan has a 21-year-old son, thinks sleep is for babies and is a known abuser of acoustic guitars.
