Don Morris

Don grew up in North Carolina, with many musical influences. His background covers a wide spectrum from folk, country, gospel, rock, to rhythm and blues. In the late 60s and early 70s Don, his brother Bill, and Dick Jeffries formed the trio, “The Morris Brothers” traveling throughout the United States and Far East. Following that, he teamed up with John Schwab for a couple years making up one of the most outstanding duos of the time.

Don has always been interested in writing and singing his own material, and continues to play his own special brand of music and style. Don has been a solid sideman for national known artists for the past three decades. To mention a few: Michael Brewer, Dwight Yoakam, Brandon Jenkins, Jana Jae, Pake McEntire, Tommy Overstreet and Martin Delray. With the knowledge and experience he has gained, Don is now back to his roots and first love as an acoustic artist. Don is performing his own music, and also playing bass with artists such as the Red Dirt Rangers, Tom Skinner, TJ McFarland and Monica Taylor.

When you take the time to listen to Don, you will not only be impressed by his mellow and laid back style on vocals, guitar, and bass, but also the original songs you will hear.
