WoodyFest Venues

The Woody Guthrie Folk Festival is held annually in Woody Guthrie’s hometown of Okemah, Oklahoma. Affectionately called WoodyFest, the festival dates fall annually on the weekend closest to Woody’s birthday.

Five stages host the performer’s festival – Crystal Theatre, Bound for Glory, Hen House, and the Pastures of Plenty, as well as community & educational events held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and the Okfuskee History Center.

Well, it’s always we rambled, that river and I
All along your green valley, I will work till I die
My land I’ll defend with my life if it be
