T.Z. Wright is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, former New Mexico resident, former Northwest Oklahoma resident, current Central Oklahoma resident, and past Executive Director of the Woodward Arts & Theatre Council. A member of the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival House Band from 2003 to 2024, T.Z. was honored with a Legacy Artist Award at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in 2024. He is also a member of original music group The Sunday Flyers based out of Norman Oklahoma. T.Z. released an LP of original music and led the first house band at The Motherlode in Red River N.M. mid-1970’s. His latest recording project “Don’t Let Go” features 14 original songs produced by Terry “Buffalo” Ware and is available for listening and download at https://tzwright.bandcamp.com/album/dont-let-go. “April Snow”, a song from the “Don’t Let Go” project was selected as a New Song Showcase winner at the 2024 Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield Kansas.
